Đề bài
Cho biểu thức: $A = \left(\dfrac{\sqrt{x}}{\sqrt{x} + 2} - \dfrac{\sqrt{x}}{\sqrt{x} - 2} + \dfrac{4\sqrt{x} - 1}{x - 4}\right) : \dfrac{1}{\sqrt{x} + 2}$ $(x \geq 0, x \neq 4)$.
a) Rút gọn $A$.
b) Tìm $x$ sao cho $A = 1$.
Lời giải
a) Rút gọn $A$.
Với $x \geq 0,\ x \neq 4$ ta có $x - 4 = (\sqrt{x}+2)(\sqrt{x}-2)$ nên mẫu chung của biểu thức trong ngoặc là $(\sqrt{x}+2)(\sqrt{x}-2) = x - 4$.
Quy đồng từng phân thức:
$\dfrac{\sqrt{x}}{\sqrt{x}+2} = \dfrac{\sqrt{x}(\sqrt{x}-2)}{x-4} = \dfrac{x - 2\sqrt{x}}{x-4}$
$\dfrac{\sqrt{x}}{\sqrt{x}-2} = \dfrac{\sqrt{x}(\sqrt{x}+2)}{x-4} = \dfrac{x + 2\sqrt{x}}{x-4}$
Do đó biểu thức trong ngoặc bằng:
$\dfrac{(x - 2\sqrt{x}) - (x + 2\sqrt{x}) + (4\sqrt{x} - 1)}{x-4} = \dfrac{x - 2\sqrt{x} - x - 2\sqrt{x} + 4\sqrt{x} - 1}{x-4} = \dfrac{-1}{x-4}$
Chia cho $\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{x}+2}$ (tức là nhân với $\sqrt{x}+2$):
$A = \dfrac{-1}{x-4} : \dfrac{1}{\sqrt{x}+2} = \dfrac{-1}{(\sqrt{x}+2)(\sqrt{x}-2)} \cdot (\sqrt{x}+2) = \dfrac{-1}{\sqrt{x}-2}$
Vậy $A = \dfrac{-1}{\sqrt{x}-2} = \dfrac{1}{2-\sqrt{x}}$ (với $x \geq 0,\ x \neq 4$).
b) Tìm $x$ sao cho $A = 1$.
$A = 1 \Leftrightarrow \dfrac{-1}{\sqrt{x}-2} = 1 \Leftrightarrow -1 = \sqrt{x} - 2 \Leftrightarrow \sqrt{x} = 1 \Leftrightarrow x = 1$
Giá trị $x = 1$ thỏa mãn điều kiện $x \geq 0,\ x \neq 4$.
Thử lại: $A = \dfrac{1}{2-\sqrt{1}} = \dfrac{1}{2-1} = 1$ (đúng).
Vậy $x = 1$.
