Bài 3 (trang 51) – Give a presentation to the class.

Đây là bước cuối của Project: dựa vào thông tin đã thu thập và dàn ý/áp phích (poster) đã chuẩn bị ở Bài 1 và Bài 2, mỗi nhóm lên trình bày trước lớp về cuộc sống ở khu phố của em cách đây 40 năm (khoảng những năm 1980). Bài nói không có đáp án cố định; dưới đây là một bài trình bày mẫu (sample presentation) đúng chủ đề và văn phong SGK lớp 9.

a) Mở đầu (Introduction) – chào và giới thiệu chủ đề

> Good morning, everyone. Today, my group would like to give a presentation about life in our neighbourhood about 40 years ago, in the 1980s. We talked to our grandparents and some old neighbours to find out how things have changed.

b) Nội dung chính (Body) – so sánh quá khứ với hiện tại

*Houses and streets:*
> Forty years ago, there weren't many tall buildings here. Most people lived in small one-storey houses with gardens. The roads were narrow and some of them weren't paved, so they got very muddy in the rainy season.

*Transport:*
> At that time, few families had motorbikes, and almost nobody had a car. People usually travelled by bicycle or on foot. Now, the streets are full of motorbikes and cars.

*Shops and daily life:*
> There weren't any supermarkets or shopping malls. People bought food at a small local market every morning. There were no mobile phones or the Internet, so neighbours often visited one another and children played together outside.

*Environment:*
> The air was fresher and it was much quieter than today. There were more trees and open fields around the area.

c) Kết luận (Conclusion) – nêu cảm nghĩ

> In conclusion, our neighbourhood has changed a lot over the last 40 years. Life today is more modern and convenient, but people in the past had a close and peaceful community. We think we can learn from both. Thank you for listening. Do you have any questions?

Lưu ý khi trình bày:
- Nói to, rõ ràng, nhìn xuống lớp (eye contact), kết hợp chỉ vào poster/hình ảnh.
- Dùng thì quá khứ (was/were, there was/there were, used to…) khi nói về 40 năm trước và thì hiện tại khi so sánh với ngày nay.
- Chia phần cho các thành viên trong nhóm và cảm ơn ở cuối.
