Gợi ý trả lời

Project — Student part-time jobs

Bài thuyết trình mẫu — Being a part-time tutor

Good morning, everyone. Today, my group would like to present a suitable and useful part-time job for students: being a private tutor.

a) What is the job?

A private tutor is a student who helps younger learners with their school subjects after school hours. For example, a high-school or university student can teach primary or secondary pupils subjects such as Maths, English or Literature, either at the learner's home or online. It is a flexible job because we can arrange lessons in the evenings or at weekends, so it does not affect our own studies.

b) What are the main responsibilities of the job?

The main responsibilities of a tutor are:
- preparing lesson plans and suitable exercises before each lesson;
- explaining difficult knowledge clearly and helping learners do their homework;
- checking the learners' progress and reporting it to their parents;
- encouraging and motivating learners so that they become more confident.

c) What qualities and skills do you need to do the job?

To be a good tutor, you need:
- solid knowledge of the subject you teach;
- good communication skills to explain things in an easy-to-understand way;
- patience and responsibility, because young learners may learn slowly;
- time-management skills to balance tutoring and your own studies.

d) What are the benefits of having this job?

This job brings many benefits:
- it helps us earn some pocket money to support our studies;
- it improves our communication and teaching skills;
- it deepens our own knowledge, because "to teach is to learn twice";
- it builds our confidence, responsibility and sense of independence.

In conclusion, being a part-time tutor is a suitable and valuable job for students. It not only provides extra income but also helps us develop useful skills for our future careers. Thank you for listening.
