Re: Application for the position of part-time server
(1) I am writing to apply for the position of the part-time server, which you advertised on your website on 10 October. I believe having a part-time job is a great opportunity to learn valuable skills.
(2)(3) I am in my final year of secondary school. I have some experience in the hospitality industry. Last summer, I waited on tables for two months at a fast-food restaurant. My responsibilities included greeting customers and taking their orders. I also served food and drinks, answered questions about the menu, and made sure all customers enjoyed their meals.
(4) I am a friendly, hard-working, and caring person with a love for people and good food. I can also speak English, so I can wait on foreign customers.
I would be delighted to meet you in person to discuss my application. I will be free for an interview any afternoon during the week. I have attached my CV for reference. If my application is successful, I will be available to start work after 24 October.

Cách làm: Xác định nội dung chính của từng đoạn rồi khớp với cụm từ trong khung.
a) Đoạn 1 → A. Reason for writing (Lí do viết đơn)
> "I am writing to apply for the position of the part-time server, which you advertised on your website on 10 October..."
Đoạn mở đầu nêu rõ lí do viết đơn: xin ứng tuyển vào vị trí phục vụ bán thời gian đã được quảng cáo → A.
b) Đoạn 2 → D. Relevant experience (Kinh nghiệm liên quan)

Đoạn này kể về kinh nghiệm làm việc trong ngành dịch vụ: từng phục vụ bàn hai tháng, chào khách, nhận gọi món, phục vụ đồ ăn thức uống → D.
c) Đoạn 3 → B. Relevant qualities and skills (Phẩm chất và kĩ năng liên quan)
> "I am a friendly, hard-working, and caring person with a love for people and good food. I can also speak English, so I can wait on foreign customers."
Đoạn này nêu phẩm chất cá nhân (thân thiện, chăm chỉ, chu đáo) và kĩ năng (nói được tiếng Anh) → B.
d) Đoạn 4 → C. Other relevant information (Thông tin liên quan khác)
> "I would be delighted to meet you in person to discuss my application. I will be free for an interview any afternoon during the week. I have attached my CV for reference. If my application is successful, I will be available to start work after 24 October."
Đoạn này cung cấp các thông tin bổ sung: sẵn sàng phỏng vấn, đã đính kèm CV, thời gian có thể bắt đầu làm việc → C.
Kiểm tra lại: Thứ tự A–D–B–C hợp lí với bố cục chuẩn của một lá đơn xin việc trong SGK: lí do viết → kinh nghiệm → phẩm chất/kĩ năng → thông tin khác.
