Bài 3 (trang 68) – Speaking: Giving opinions about different jobs

a) Which is the most common adjective to describe each job in the table? (Tính từ phổ biến nhất mà cả nhóm dùng để mô tả mỗi nghề)

> In our group, we compared the adjectives we used for each job. The most common adjective to describe a doctor is *rewarding*, because doctors help save people's lives. For a teacher, most of us chose *meaningful*, as teachers shape the future generation. We described a programmer as *well-paid*, and a tour guide as *exciting* because they get to travel and meet new people. A farmer was most often described as *hard* (demanding), since farm work requires a lot of physical effort.

b) Which job do most people in your group like/dislike? (Nghề đa số thích / không thích)

> Most people in my group like being a *tour guide*. Three out of five members chose it as their favourite job. On the other hand, the job that most of us dislike is being a *farmer*, because it is tiring and depends heavily on the weather.

c) What are the most common reasons? (Những lí do phổ biến nhất)

> The most common reason for liking the tour-guide job is that it is *exciting and well-paid*, and it gives people the chance to *travel around and discover new places*. The main reason for disliking farming is that it is *hard and poorly paid*, and the income is *unstable*. In conclusion, our group agrees that an ideal job should be both *interesting* and *rewarding*.
