Gợi ý thực hành nói theo cặp (Work in pairs). Dựa vào bài 3 ở trên, hai bạn A và B lần lượt hỏi – đáp về cách gia đình mình gìn giữ phong tục, tập quán. Dưới đây là một bài mẫu hoàn chỉnh:

a) A hỏi về lễ hội gia đình thường tổ chức:

A: What festival(s) does your family celebrate every year?

B: We celebrate Hung Kings' Temple Festival and Lunar New Year (Tet).

b) A hỏi về thời gian và hoạt động trong dịp đó:

A: When do you celebrate Tet, and what do you usually do?

B: We celebrate it in late January or early February. We clean and decorate our house, make *banh chung*, and visit our relatives.

c) A hỏi về một phong tục cụ thể gia đình luôn giữ:

A: Are there any customs your family always observes?

B: Yes. On the first day of Tet, we worship our ancestors and the children receive lucky money from their grandparents and parents.

d) A hỏi vì sao gia đình duy trì phong tục đó (nêu ý nghĩa):

A: Why does your family keep these customs?

B: Because they help us remember our roots and show our gratitude to our ancestors. They also bring our family closer together.

e) Đổi vai (B hỏi lại A):

B: How about your family? What traditions do you observe?

A: We observe the Mid-Autumn Festival. We make lanterns, enjoy mooncakes and watch lion dances together.

Lưu ý khi trình bày trước lớp: dùng thì hiện tại đơn để nói về thói quen (*celebrate, make, visit, worship*), dùng các từ nối *every year, on the first day of…, because…* và trả lời đủ ý mà bạn mình hỏi.
